Pat Arnold for Klickitat County Commissioner

Pat Arnold will bring new energy and new perspectives to county government. Pat believes that we can move forward together on the important issues that will shape the future of our local communities.

• Build a diversified economy, with strong support for locally owned small business and for our working farm, ranch, and forest lands. Join with other Gorge communities in growing the local food system.
• Keep sufficient affordable housing for working people and families, and seniors , including assisted living.
• Protect farmland, forest land, and natural resources, especially water resources, to maintain our self-sufficiency.
• Plan for sensible growth. Growth rates are high in Klickitat County. We need clear, shared goals that move us forward together. We need effective planning to make the inevitable growth beneficial for Klickitat County.
• Develop emergency response plans for coal and oil train disaster events. Take steps to support dispersed local solar energy production.
